The Murphy Family

Say hello to the Murphy family from Glasson, Athlone this family farm, located on the shores of Lough Ree, is a mixed farm holding with cattle and sheep and has been in the Murphy family for generations.

Patrick, Avril & Aaron have a keen interest in working on the family farm. Avril is a secondary school teacher who has numerous Schools Competition Finalists including this years finalists Mercy School, Ballymahon.

The family have carried out some restoration work by cutting down overgrown hedging and they are passionate about sustainable and natural farming methods.

This passion for quality farming runs through all 10,000 farming family members in our community. Knowledge and standards are passed from one generation to the next.
