Ruairi Lynch has always been happiest farming, ever since his childhood days where he spent his summers and weekends helping his uncle on the farm. Ruairi now farms the farm he inherited from his uncle together with his wife Lisa and their 3 children.

With the highest ever number of applications last year, our competition has gone from strength to strength, and we can’t wait to welcome five new finalists at the Ploughing Championships later this year 🙌

We were delighted to return to Croke Park today for the final of the Certified Irish Angus School’s Competition and to crown our 2025 winners 🏆
Congrats once again to Mercy Secondary School Kilbeggan on winning, and to all of our finalists this year for their excellent efforts and hard work 👏
